What is the first house you remember growing up in? What was it like?

Growing up, I lived in 3 different houses in 3 different cities before I was old enough to remember any of them.  Then we moved to Beckley where I lived in 4 more houses.  So I will just pick one.

We lived in a small, but every nice house on East Prince Street.  The second story was one big bedroom that I shared with my 2 brothers.  We had a full basement with a drive in garage that would flood when it rained hard.  The concrete floor made a good skating rink.
There was a basketball goal in our back yard but the ground was rough and rocky and dribbling was a little tricky.  The backyard went up a hill.  A level spot with trees on the top made a good place to pitch a tent and camp out.
There were a lot of kids in the neighborhood.  One had a tree house surrounded by good climbing trees.  Another one had the basketball goal.  We would push our bicycles uphill into town and could coast all the way home.
It was a good house to grow up in.

The first house I remember living in, was on  Circle view drive off of Harper Road in Beckley WV.
This truly was a Small house, 7 people lived in the house.  It had a big living room that was also our bedrooms.  The girls( 4 of us shared a bed) the boys 2 of them shared a bed that was in this living room.  It had a nice size kitchen, the living room, and one bedroom that was my moms.  No running water, no bathroom. Our water source was a outside well, we would carry water in for cleaning
, cooking and bathing.  We had outside toilet, not a lot of fun.  But the best part was it had
a wooded area that we spend a lot of time in, and also a hill that we would sleigh ride on, which was a lot of fun.
The house itself provided shelter, and we had a place to sleep and a place to eat.
