What did you do over summer break as a child?

We went to vacation Bible school for one week.

We would spend  one week with a relative, (grandma Doolittle)  or with a cousin (Reggie)

There were times when a cousin would spend a week with us.

We would go on Vacation for a week, usually the beach.  

There were times we went to Nigiara Falls or Washington DC instead of the beach.

When I was old enough to play football, we started practices in August.  

When I  were old enough I would mow lawns to earn money.

I would usually go to ODD WV and spend a few weeks down there on a farm with Alice and Blaine Price.  We were expected to do 

Farm chores.  Gather eggs, feed chicken, help milk the cow, strain the cream off thr milk, then help make the butter.

When I wasn't in Odd, I would be at home helping my mom with her garden.

When I had down time I would play in the woods and climb trees. 

We never went on a vacation when I was a child.
