What was a job you held as a teenager?

I work at a Dairy Queen.  I made ice cream cones.  I also fixed hot dogs and French fries.

My favorite was making pretty ice cream cones.

One if my first jobs was at Krogers, as a senior in High School. Several classmate and I trained together at a time when Kroger needed cashiers.  That was an important duty but not the most desirable.  We made it fun buy completing against each other to see who could get customers through our lines the fastest.
Working check out was ok but I preferred other assignments.  Produce was always good.- you got to stay in the back, out of sight, shuck  corn and thump watermelons.
When sugar was on sale, and it usually was, I got to stack 5 pounds bags of sugar for a special display.
This was back in the day when soda drinks came in glass bottles. Sorting and stacking pop bottles for recycling was always fun.
Probably my favorite was working the parking lot.  On real busy days they would assign an employee to the parking lot to assist customers with loading groceries into their cars. And retrieving shopping carts.  I stayed busy, the time past quickly, and I got to be outside.
I liked the people I worked with. I enjoyed helping customers, and I am grateful for the work experience I received.  All this fun and I got paid to do it.
